Holcomb softball headlines spring awards

The Holcomb softball team recently finished up their season, after a second straight final four appearance, and a third place in the class one state tournament. In other words, they are now recognized as the third-best softball team in the state of Missouri for their class. Only two teams are better.

They were able to accomplish this feat by a few different things. First, the chemistry on this team is unbelievable. These girls all grew up together and head coach Matt Casper has a tight bond with his players, as he has known them since they were little.

Secondly, the coaching that Matt Casper has done is amazing. They finished with a 27-7 record this year. If you combine their last four seasons' records into one, they are 83-16. That just goes to show how great a coach Matt Casper has been.

Third, the players have been playing outstanding. There is so much talent up and down this roster, and the All-Conference, All-District, and All-Region teams only further prove that point.
