MSHSAA Class 1 District 1 tournament: Semifinal scores

Risco and Southland advance to the Class 1 District 1 final after decisive semifinal victories.

Here are the scores from the semifinal games of the Class 1 District 1 tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

No. 1 Risco beat No. 4 Cooter 79-63.

Junior Owen Fortner and senior Sammy Smith were Risco's top scorers with 27 points each. Junior Eli Rodgers also contributed 10 points.

No. 3 Southland beat No. 2 Gideon 75-61.

Camden Washington led the Southland Rebels with a 19-point performance. Braylan Cox would finish with 16 points while Jeremiah McMinn scored 14 and Colton Lee, a freshman, put up 10 points.

Risco and Southland will now face each other in the Class 1 District 1 final on Friday, Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
