Poplar Bluff picks up road win at Dexter

The Dexter Lady Bearcats dropped to 3-3 on the season after falling 8-1 to Poplar Bluff Wednesday afternoon on the tennis courts.

Poplar Bluff swept the doubles matches to build a 3-0 lead. Poplar Bluff's Kaitlyn Booker and Molly Maurer defeated Katarrah Churchill 8-4, Ava Belle Richardson and Hannah Marie Kee defeted Sophia James and Febe Chanel Worley 8-4 and Katelyn Conover and Hannah Wiseman defeated Puja S Maisuria and Kinley Kennedy 8-9 (7-2 tiebreak).

Masiuria recorded Dexter's lone win with a 8-6 win over Conover in singles action. Booker, Maurer, Richardson, Kee and Wiseman recorded singles wins for Poplar Bluff.

Dexter (3-3) will next be in action at the Cape Central Team Doubles Tournament and Poplar Bluff (3-1) will visit Jackson Thursday afternoon.
