The St. Louis Blues split their weekend games, defeating the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 on Saturday, but falling to the Dallas Stars 6-3 on Sunday. The Blues face a challenging six-game road trip next.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Colton Parayko and Pavel Buchnevich each scored, and Jordan Binnington made 25 saves to help the St. Louis Blues beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 on Saturday night.

Dylan Holloway and Zack Bolduc also scored for St. Louis, which has won four in a row for the first time this season.

Kevin Fiala scored, and David Rittich made 30 saves for Los Angeles, which has lost three straight.

Bolduc scored his ninth goal of the season on a breakaway 9:27 into the second period to expand St. Louis’ lead to 3-1.

Buchnevich scored his 13th goal of the season on a feed from Robert Thomas to put St. Louis ahead 2-1 with 1:53 remaining in the first period. Thomas has an assist in nine straight games.

Parayko scored his career-best 15th goal of the season on a feed from Jordan Kyrou 9:37 into the first period to tie the game at 1-all.

Fiala scored his 24th goal of the season on a power play 3:43 into the first period to put the Kings ahead 1-0.

Sunday: Stars 6, Blues 3

DALLAS (AP) — Wyatt Johnson scored three times to help the Dallas Stars beat the St. Louis Blues 6-3 on Sunday.

Roope Hintz had a goal and three assists as Dallas won for the fifth time in six games. Mason Marchment and Matt Duchene each had a goal and an assist.

Jake Oettinger made a season-high 39 saves for his 29th win, tied for second in the NHL.

Dallas won the special-teams battle, scoring a season-high four power-play goals in four opportunities while its league-best penalty kill stopped two of St. Louis’ three power plays.

Zack Bolduc and Dylan Holloway scored for the Blues, who split a back-to-back and began a season-long six-game trip.

Blues backup Joel Hofer allowed three goals on nine shots, two on the first four shots. Hofer was replaced after one period by Jordan Binnington, who beat Los Angeles 4-1 at home Saturday night. Binnington allowed three goals on 12 shots.
