The Lady Raiders excelled at the Branson Showtime Classic, winning three out of four games. Key performances included Emma Crabb's standout pitching and Jayce Jarvis's home run, boosting their season to 5-1.

BRANSON — The Three Rivers College softball team took three out of four games over the weekend in the Branson Showtime Classic tournament.

They split the first two games on Friday, beating Northeastern Oklahoma A&M 6-1 but dropping a 14-0 loss to Murray State.

The Lady Raiders came back on Saturday with a 12-2 win over Carl Albert State, then closed out the weekend with a 3-2 win over Eastern Oklahoma State.

Emma Crabb improved her season record to 2-0 in the contest, going the distance on the rubber and only giving up one run on three hits with 15 strikeouts against NEO. Jayce Jarvis hit a home run and had four RBIs in their first game.

Erica Ross took the loss against Murray State, giving up four runs, two earned, in 1 1/3 innings. Bella Harville pitched the rest of the five-inning game, surrendering 10 runs, eight earned, in 3 2/3 innings.

Murray State held Three Rivers to no runs on only three hits in game two.

Saturday was a better day for the Lady Raiders, as they dominated Carl Albert State.

Ross bounced back with a strong four-inning pitching performance to improve her record to 2-1 on the season. She gave up one run on two hits with three strikeouts. Jayden Tucker and Abi Jorgensen led the team in RBIs with four and two, respectively.

The final game against Eastern Oklahoma State was a defensive and pitching duel, with Crabb earning her third win and second complete game. She gave up two runs on four hits with 11 strikeouts.

Jarvis, Tucker and Shelby Bowling drove in the Lady Raiders’ three runs, which was just enough to win the game 3-2.

The weekend wins give the Lady Raiders a 5-1 record in the young season. They head to St. Charles on Tuesday.
