A packed Tuesday slate for Southeast Missourian diamond sports saw a handful of area powerhouses take huge wins against tough teams.

Scott City baseball (4-0) kept the wheels turning on Tuesday with a blowout victory at Saxony Lutheran (0-2), led on the mound by the kid who can, apparently, do it all.

Kobe Watson only notched one hit on offense on Tuesday, but the Scott City junior responded by only allowing one hit on defense as well, going four full innings without an earned run.

Chaffee (4-0) once trailed Leopold (0-2), but the Red Devils turned that on its head in a huge win at home, winning by 15 runs in a shootout that wasn't exactly decided by hits.

Maybe most impressively, Jackson baseball took home third place in the talented Troy Baseball Classic pool by shutting out Christian Brothers in the Cadets' house.

Carson McDaniel earned the win for the Indians, McDealing seven strikeouts while holding the Cadets scoreless before Drew Parsons took over for the final two frames for the save.

While Jackson is still figuring out its young offense, the pitching staff continues to be a huge plus for the Indians as they move to 4-1 on the year.

St. Vincent (1-1) got its first win of the year, eking out the win against Delta (0-4) as the Bobcats' season-opening slump continued.

Christian Schaaf dealt heavily for the Indians to start the game, keeping the Bobcats off base and holding on for an important first win.

Advance softball (2-0) stayed undefeated with a beatdown of Charleston on the road, winning by 16 after plating 14 runs in the first inning.

In that game, the Hornets' Kaylee Cline finished with a strong 4-for-4 day that included a whopping three doubles.

Bell City baseball (2-0) squeaked by Advance (1-2) with a walk-off, two-out double from Blaine Scheible after entering the seventh down a run.

Jacob Asher worked out of a bases-loaded moment in the top of the seventh, setting up the offense for the comeback and grabbing the win in the process.

The game of the day, without a doubt, was Notre Dame baseball's unbelievable comeback victory over Portageville at home, walking it off in the seventh to win 13-12 after trailing by nine runs in the fourth inning.

Six guys finished with multiple hits for Notre Dame as they clawed back for the big win, led by Hunter Bonham's walk-off, 2-run double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.

Here are your box scores for all of Tuesday's action.
