PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. - The Kennett Indians dropped their first game of the season on the road.

The game concluded with a 28-6 victory for the Portageville Bulldogs.

Portageville took an early lead on the night with a touchdown in the first quarter by senior

Jayquan Bogan.

Later on in the first half, Portageville was able to convert a pick six to lead the Kennett Indians

14-0.

Kennett had a response after the first half, where freshmen Antonio Hollywood scored the first

touchdown of the season for the Indians. This cut the lead to 14-6 giving the Indians some hope

to carry out a (potential) come back.

However, the Bulldogs extended the lead once more with another touchdown by Jayquan

Bogan in the final quarter of the matchup.

Antonio Hickenbottom sealed the deal for the Bulldogs with a touchdown to make the score

28-6.

The Indians will have their next competition at home against the Paragould Rams. This will be

Kennett’s first home game of the season on Sep.6 with kick off at 7 p.m.

The Portageville Bulldogs will continue their home stance against Hayti on Sep. 6.

The Bulldogs will have many chances to defend their home turf this season with six home

games this season in their newly renovated stadium.
