Rob Tate
Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.
Battle of the Tigers in OFC Tourney Final Friday

No. 2 Neelyville beat No. 3 Twin Rivers in one OFC semifinal on a walk-off single by Mitchell Dennis in a four-run seventh inning for the Tigers to win, 7-6, Thursday afternoon at TRCC.
No. 1 Clearwater beat No. 4 Doniphan 10-0 in five innings in the other semifinal. Kendall Fay had a three-run triple in the third inning to help boost the Tigers.
Neelyville head coach Justin Dobbins will face his former team in the finals Friday appox. 2:30 at Greenville. Clearwater beat Neelyville, 5-3, earlier in the season.
Friday's schedule also includes the third-place game between Doniphan and Twin Rivers at noon, also at Greenville.
