Rob Tate
Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.
OFC Champions Crowned

Twin Rivers defeated the top-seeded Clearwater Tigers, 60-50 for its first championship since 2006.
Leading scorers for Twin Rivers were Zech Payne with 15, Matt Boyles with 14 and Brett Whitlock with 10.
Kyle Randolph netted 19 points and Luke Hillis added 14 for the Tigers who made their second finals appearance in three years.
On the girls side, the Neelyville Lady Tigers won its first OFC championship since 1986 with a 56-43 win.
Chelsey Maupin scored 22 points for the Lady Tigers and Jessica Uhl added 14 points and hit four 3-pointers.
Tara Porter scored 22 points for Greenville.
