Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.

Are they doing an online vote for the starters this year? I knew they did a couple years back but did not know if they still did the voting.

That's for sure, Bums71. I have never seen him do anything other than what he does in games. I am also excited to see Minner from New Madrid CC. Drew Thomas tends to do the same thing in games, but I'm sure he has a few tricks for the contest. Should be very entertaining!!

Don't forget about Riley Raulston from Bluff. I think he won the dunk contest at the Bluff Christmas tournament.
