Rob Tate
Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.

Here's an update from the MSHSAA state quarterfinals.
The Lady Bears drop out for the second straight year in the quarterfinals as Cardinal Ritter moves on to Mizzou Arena with a 48-29 victory.
Cardinal Ritter continues to pour it on as they lead 44-21 with 4:35 left in the game.
Greenville trails 38-18 going into the 4th quarter.
At halftime, Cardinal Ritter leads Greenville, 22-15. Tara Porter leads the Lady Bears with 9 points.
Earlier in the night, Charleston was defeated by Maplewood-Richmond Heights.
