Finally The Weather Clears
It's looking like we finally have some nice days staring today until Friday (hopefully I'm not jinxing it) and I'm excited to finally string together some local high school baseball games this week. So far this spring I've had more games cancelled that I intended on covering but were rained out than games I've actually seen.
Some good games I'm planning on heading to this week include Malden visiting Bernie today where both teams have just three losses so far between them. Malden is playing its third game in as many days and still has games scheduled Thursday and Friday this week.
Thursday, I'm hoping to head out to Broseley to see Clearwater take on Twin Rivers in an OFC battle. So far Clearwater has played well despite some preseason injuries. Perhaps, since both teams haven't played in awhile, we could see a good pitcher's duel between Twin Rivers' Garrett Stockton and Clearwater's Logan Morris. These two schools met on the basketball court in the OFC Championship in February with Twin Rivers prevailing but the Royals were showered with "Wait 'til baseball" chants from the Tigers supporters.
Friday, I hope to travel to Bloomfield to see two up-and-coming teams in a matchup of the Wildcats coached by Dustin Hicks and the East Carter Redbirds coached by Brock Crowley.
