Big Game Wednesday
Typically, Wednesday isn't a big day for prep sports but there are two great area baseball games today.
Over in Dunklin County, two teams that have double-digit win totals square off at Campbell. The Camels are 11-1 on the season and take on the 10-3 Malden Green Wave.
The 'Wave pitched their ace Jordan Gregory on Tuesday in an extra innings win over Senath but the Green Wave have played a lot of tough opponents the last couple weeks so they should be able to hang in there.
Campbell has won seven straight games and has put up some gawdy offensive statistics.
Clearwater and Neelyville will play in 'The Battle of the Tigers' at Neelyville on Wednesday. This is a rematch of the Ozark Foothills Conference Tournament championship game last fall in which Clearwater won, 10-0.
Clearwater is 9-1 on the season with its only loss coming this past weekend at a wood bat tourney in Fredericktown.
Neelyville, on the other hand, are coming off a walk-off loss to Greenville on Tuesday. Neelyville is 8-2 on the season but have lost two of its last three games.
