Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.

OFC Baseball Tourney Set

The OFC seeding took place Wednesday in Poplar Bluff and here's what's on tap next week.

All games will be played at Raider Field at TRCC in Poplar Bluff but could be moved to the host school Doniphan due to weather or field conditions. The tournament starts at an earlier time (10 a.m.) then years past on Monday, Oct. 5.

(1) Clearwater (17-1) has the bye into semifinals

(4) Neelyville (11-6) will take on (5) Doniphan (5-8) at 12:30 p.m. Monday

(3) Twin Rivers (13-5) will take on (6) Naylor (5-8) at 10 a.m. Monday

(2) Greenville (11-1) will take on (7) East Carter (4-10) at 3 p.m. Monday

The semifinals are Tuesday Oct. 6 starting at noon with Clearwater vs. Neelyville/Doniphan and then 2:30 p.m. will be TR/Naylor vs. Greenville/EC.

On Thursday Oct. 8, the third-place game will be at noon and the final will follow at 2:30 p.m.
