Rob Tate
Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.

Hope you all had a great Christmas. Tomorrow, we get back to business with the first round of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament. Make sure you pick up a copy of the Daily American Republic today for a preview of the 54th edition of the tournament. I wrote a story on the first team changes to the tournament since 1994 and the preview also includes a bracket you can cut out and rosters for all 16 teams. Also we have a preview of the Poplar Bluff Showdown as well which starts Tuesday. Until then, Happy Sunday!
