Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.

OFC Basketball Semifinals -- Tonight

Due to the threat of weather on Wednesday, the entire varsity semifinals of the Ozark Foothills Conference tournament will be played on Tuesday night at Clearwater High School.

Here is the schedule for tonight:

Girls Semifinals
Naylor (11-6) vs. Twin Rivers (11-7) - 4 p.m.
Neelyville (15-2) vs. Doniphan (6-10) - 5:30 p.m.

Boys Semifnals
Twin Rivers (12-6) vs. Neelyville (9-8) - 7 p.m.
Doniphan (10-8) vs. Clearwater (9-9) - 8:30 p.m.

Tentatively scheduled for Wednesday are the JV semifinals with Twin Rivers playing Naylor at 5 p.m. and Doniphan playing East Carter at 6:15 p.m.

If the Wednesday JV games are unable to play, those will be played on Thursday along with the varsity third place games for boys and girls. If games are played on Wednesday, the JV third place game will take place Thursday. Times to be determined.

Friday is still scheduled as championship night with JV kicking things off at 5 p.m. followed by girls at 6:30 p.m. and boys at 8 p.m. at Three Rivers Community College.
