Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.

2011 Ozark Foothills Conference baseball tournament

The bracket is set for the Ozark Foothills Conference tournament which is set to begin Monday, October 3. All games are scheduled to be played at Roger Pattillo Field on the campus of Three Rivers College. Twin Rivers received the top-seed with five first-place votes (coaches don't vote for their own team). Clearwater is the three-time defending champion and the last two years, Twin Rivers has been the runner-up. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students.

Monday, October 3
(4) Naylor (9-8 overall, 3-3 OFC) vs. (5)East Carter (10-4, 3-3) -- 11 a.m.
(2) Greenville (12-5, 4-2) vs. (7) Doniphan (5-10, 0-6) -- 1 p.m.
(3) Neelyville (12-4, 3-2) vs. (6) Clearwater (12-7, 1-4) -- 3 p.m.

Wednesday, October 5
(1) Twin Rivers (17-3, 6-0) vs. Naylor/East Carter -- noon
Greenville/Doniphan vs. Neelyville/Clearwter -- 2 p.m.

Thursday, October 6
Third place -- 2 p.m.
Championship -- 4 p.m.
