Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.

2013 Twin Rivers Lady Royals Classic seeds

The 2013 Twin Rivers Lady Royals Classic, which takes place Dec. 21-28, was seeded Friday afternoon. To not much of a surprise, the Dexter Lady Bearcats are the top seed. They are the defending champions. Here is a look at the seeds and their records current as of Friday, Dec. 13.

Dexter needs to move on to another tournament. It doesn't help improve them or any other team by being in this tournament.

If Dexter could find three games to replace this tournament I feel they would go do that. They are already traveling quite a bit to pick up games.

And I wasn't saying that as a knock to Dexter or to the tournament. Dexter is just flat out dominate right now. Kind of like the boys in the Bloomfield Christmas tournament a handful of years ago
