Rob Tate has been with the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since August 2008 and is currently the assistant sports editor. Rob was born and raised in Clawson, Mich., just 14 miles north of Detroit and is an avid Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan fan. He has also adopted the Rams and Mizzou to his favorites since moving to Missouri. He is a 2008 graduate of Oakland (Mich.) University where he received his bachelor of arts in journalism. Rob and his wife Sara live in Poplar Bluff.

2015 Ozark Foothills Conference Tournament

The 2015 Ozark Foothills Conference Tournament, which runs from Feb. 7 through Feb. 13, was seeded Wednesday afternoon. Twin Rivers High School is the host and the first round, semifinals and third place will be played there. The championship is set for Feb. 13 at the Bess Activity Center on the campus of Three Rivers College.

The Twin Rivers Royals are the defending champions on the boys side while the Neelyville Lady Tigers are the six-time defending champions.

Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students. Listed below are win-loss records and links for the brackets.

Why is Clearwater seeded above Greenville? They are winless in conference play and have.a much worse record.

The coaches are the ones who vote. But here is a little bit of insight on what the thought process might have been.

Clearwater lost to Neelyville (No. 1) by three points in overtime, lost to Twin Rivers (No.2) by two points and East Carter (No. 3) by six points. Greenville lost by 20 to Neelyville, lost to Twin Rivers by 21 and lost to East Carter by 26.

Typically with this tournament, it is seeded based on how each team has done in conference play.

Ok I can buy that DARSports. I guess Greenville will get the chance to prove they are better in their first round game against Clearwater.

Clearwater proved last Friday they deserved the 4 seed by beating Greenville. Yes it was a good preview!! Hopefully they do it again.
